Perfect date night restaurant. We got the tropical ceviche, a side of sweet plantains and guava BBQ ribs. 10/10 recommend. Great atmosphere and music. It looks like they have a happy hour menu from 3-5pm. We will definitely come back for cocktails and more food!
Cool, cute spot. Got a good cocktail, Papa Rellena as an app, and the Cuban Wrap for the main dish. It was all fresh and delicious. The service was great - kind and upfront about the (manageable) wait time. It offers a small dine-in area with cute decor and a good atmosphere!! Will be back.
overall an excellent experience. the place was very clean and cutely decorated, and the vibes were great. we ordered the croquetas, patatas bravas, yucca fries, and cubano sandwich. absolutely loved the croquetas & patatas bravas, and their crispy dishes were made to be perfectly crispy. was a little disappointed with the cubano sandwich, but would definitely still come back to try other dishes. our food came quickly and our server was very friendly & attentive.

Cozy and warm Cuban restaurant. The interiors are so vibrant and pretty, you’ll keep going back just for the vibe.
I’m not an expert of Cuban food and this was my first time trying this cuisine, but this place definitely has some delicious items on the menu.
I got the Churrasco steak🥩with yucca fries 🍟 and the chimichurri was just divine.
The cafe con leche is really smooth and creamy. All in all good food and a homey atmosphere.
Cubaneo offers traditional Cuban cuisine. The menu stays the same over the years (slight price increase but still very affordable and good value).
I've eaten there couple times. the decor is nice. Nothing extravagant but I like the vibrant colors, the cleanliness, and that you can be well seated with friends, for a duo or solo.
For the food (that's why we're here after all), the quality and quantity are constant. Very good! Some dishes could have a better presentation (ex. strawberry gazpacho during summer), as well as the patatas bravas. The sandwiches are good (but the cubaneo is not my favorite - I'm always a bit disappointed comparing this sandwich to the other ones).
One last point that can be better is the staff's help. Depending of whom is taking your order, the experience might be different. The girls last time were not able to recommend many dishes/what do they prefer. I feel for a small restaurant like this, Cuban, proximity to your customers is required. We are here to discover/enjoy a cuisine from abroad, some tips are always welcome.
My favorite Cuban spot in Chicago! Everything was amazing. We got cafe con leche, empanadas, avocado toast, and some desserts. The mango cake and lingote were delicious. The staff is so friendly as well!
Delicious and beautiful dishes in a chic environment. Certainly worth a stop for arroz con pollo which had excellent layers of flavor and was wonderfully olive forward. Highly recommend for lunch, with pretty average prices for the area.
Food was amazing and the service was fantastic! You have to try the breakfast wrap with the sweet plantains! Also, the pan con bistec might be the best sandwich we’ve ever had. The croquetas are also magic.
